Further to our announcement of the Live Music Initiative, we would like to announce our second featured Venue – The Ostrich Inn Peterborough.
The Ostrich Inn loves live music. Tucked away in North Street at the heart of Peterborough City Centre – just off Westgate, it is a traditional pub with an atmosphere to match, with a love for music that is hosted at every opportunity – every weekend, and special events midweek.
Graham and his team have tried to create a performance atmosphere second to none including a dedicated stage area, with lighting, and quality in-house pa with provision for back of house mixing desk. They try to give performers and audience the best possible experience within a friendly, inclusive, welcoming atmosphere. Entry is free of charge at all times.
Music at The Ostrich is a wide mix ranging from Folk Sessions through to DIY punk and Heavy Rock and everything in between, hosting both cover bands and original music.
Through long standing relationships with local independent promoters, No Gods, No Managers, The Scary Clown presents, Socks On Records Promotions and Twisted
they have been able to welcome performers to The Ostrich not only from across the UK, but also internationally from both mainland Europe and North America.
Regular annual events include hosting of the East Angrier Punk Rock Collective music festival on the third weekend in July and their Ostrichfest Beer and Music Festival on the first weekend in August.
