Get Involved & Volunteer

The Willow Festival arrives at Peterborough Embankment on July 21/22/23 2023. The live music festival showcases over 170 live bands and artists and is a family orientated festival. The festival is not a big name event. It is an event for emerging talent and is focused on unsigned or new acts of all genres, although it often attracts bigger name artists too. All the music at the festival is played live. No faking it, miming or boy / girl bands with backing tracks. We don’t have a DJ dance tent, but we do have live bands performing R&B, rock, indie, soul, ska and more. It’s not that we’re against dance tents, far from it – it’s just not what we do.

The Willow Festival is a subsidised event and relies on support from the community in the form of volunteers and local businesses to remain inexpensive for families to attend. Volunteers are needed for a range of duties over the three day event, in the days preceding it and post event breakdown.  Volunteers need to be 16 years or older and be able to commit to a minimum of one shift of 4 hours duration. Of course, you may volunteer for more.

We Require People To Undertake Roles such as:

  • Stewards,
  • Stage hands and crew,
  • Banner and signage team,

  • Merchandising vendors,
  • Fundraising personnel
