The Gillies

Award winning acoustic Americana  / folk duo The Gillies have recently won Best Single in the GSMC 2023 Music Awards for their song ‘6 am’. The track is one of five released on their most recent EP ‘Can’t’, another of which was chosen for release on Fatea’s Spring Showcase Session.

‘6 am’ has also been aired across several UK radio stations including BBC Radio Kent, Resonance FM and Riverside Radio, as well as being played in Germany, Nashville, Canada, and Australia.

The Gillies have recorded five albums to date and have been working with award winning producer Phil Dearing of LSound Studios in London.

A tour of Brussels, Germany and Austria in 2019 has inspired the duo to tour the UK in 2023, with a return to mainland Europe and possibly Australia in 2024.

Memorable festival appearances have included opening up for Deepdale Festival in Norfolk and playing the Medicine Stage at Maverick.
