This is the first release since the album ‘Debut’ in August 2022 and follows the madness that was 2021 when the band released 12 full length albums across 12 months.
The new E.P. ‘Lungs’ features five songs written during the early part of 2023 and represent the band letting out their frustrations and irritations at the world we find ourselves living in post pandemic. If this is the new normal then Das Kapitans let you know they aren’t very happy about it. The usual pounding drums, aggressive bassline, awkward guitars and grizzly vocals give you plenty of familiar Kapitans sounds but with a new agitated undertone. All tracks written and recorded by the band.
The E.P is released on the band’s own Socks On Records Bandcamp Label which exists to provide a sense of community to like minded DIY artists.
