David Reid

David and his band, The Contrast, have released eight critically acclaimed albums since 2001. Steven Van Zandt described them as ‘One of the best bands on the planet – and England too.’

 

In 2014, David co-formed ReidGraves with activist and poet Ron Graves combining pop and experimental music with songs and spoken word. The duo have released three albums.

 

Both projects receive regular radio airplay around the world, including many tracks by The Contrast featured as ‘Coolest Songs in the World’ on Steven Van Zandt’s Underground Garage show and Sirius channels.

 

The Contrast’s notable live shows include appearances at SxSW, New York’s CMJ festival and Hard Rock Calling – plus supporting Mott the Hoople during their final tour in 2013.

 

David is currently working on a set of solo guitar instrumentals that channel retro surf, country, folk, jazz and cinematic influences.
